Routine
ARES Net ScriptGood evening, and welcome to the Washtenaw County Routine Amateur Radio Emergency Service Net! My name is _______, callsign is _____________, and I’m the net control station for tonight. The routine ARES net meets each Wednesday night here on frequency 145.150. Break. (Un-key, pause a few seconds, then rekey & continue)
This is a check-in net only, unless you have traffic for the net. If so, simply state "TRAFFIC" when you check-in. When you check-in, please give your callsign phonetically, followed by your first name (IF YOU WOULD LIKE OTHER DETAILS, SUCH AS LOCATION, ETC. MENTION THAT TOO!). This routine net is open to all amateurs, regardless of whether or not you’re in Washtenaw County. Break.
Starting off with check-ins, I’d like to make a quick roll-call of stations who checked into the Washtenaw County Routine RACES Net, which concluded a few minutes ago on frequency 146.920MHz. When you hear your callsign given, you just need to echo it back to me. If you have traffic for the net, don’t forget to state "TRAFFIC."
(GO THRU THE LIST OF STATIONS THAT CHECKED INTO THE RACES NET, IF YOU DON’T ALREADY HAVE THAT LIST, SKIP THE ABOVE PARAGRAPH!)
I’ll now accept check-ins from mobile or portable stations only. Please try to ensure that you’re not doubling with another station.
OK, I’ll now open it up to any & all stations wishing to check-into the Washtenaw County Routine ARES Net. Again, please give your callsign phonetically, your first name,
(any other info you requested), and if you have traffic for the net, state "TRAFFIC."(Take check-ins a few times during the net, acknowledge stations who have checked-in, and specifically acknowledge those that might have traffic. Let the traffic go ahead, take more check-ins, invite questions/comments, then close the net!)
This concludes the Washtenaw County Routine Amateur Radio Emergency Service Net. Thanks to all of you for participating, and thanks to N8DUY for the use of his repeater. Until next Wednesday evening the routine Washtenaw ARES Net is closed, this is _____________
(your callsign!).Good luck, have fun, and thanks for running the net!
